I found myself in some situations thinking like “What the f*** is she doing now? Completly crazy now?”. BUT if you set aside that these storylines are not the most creative, the rest of the book is and totally makes you keep on reading.Īlex is a really likeable and fun since she is snarky, tough, smart-mouthed and completely rash. And then Seth comes into place and the love-triangle is perfect. Of course the two of them fall in forbidden love. But Aiden, a worrior, sticks up for her and promises to train her until she catches up on what she has missed the last years – this plot rings a bell for all who read The Vampire Academy, right? Because she misbehaves, it is recommended that she shall leave the school and be enslaved. It is a fantasy novel with paranormal creatures set at a school, where Alex, the protagonist, comes back when her mum dies. The whole series reminds me a lot of The Vampire Academy.
